The Heart of Hospice:
Dementia & Alzheimer’s Awareness Month: Supporting Patients and Caregivers with Compassion
November is Dementia and Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to focus on the challenges faced by patients and caregivers navigating end-stage dementia. At AseraCare Hospice, we understand the complex needs of these patients and their families.
Our Dementia Specialty Program initiative is designed to:
Address unsettled behaviors, pain, and nutritional concerns.
Utilize non-pharmacological interventions and evidence-based practices.
Provide a clearer understanding of the disease trajectory.
Offer caregivers vital education and emotional support.
By improving symptom management and quality of life for patients, while reducing caregiver stress, our program is here to help families feel supported at every stage of the journey.
For administrators and referral sources: Our Dementia Specialty Program is a valuable resource for your residents or patients with advanced dementia. Partnering with AseraCare can help reduce caregiver burnout, improve quality of life, and address complex patient needs. Contact us to learn how we can collaborate to support your team.

Little Practices, Big Impact: Happiness Starts Here
Weekly Happiness Tip: "Practicing Gratitude with Loved Ones"
This Thanksgiving, try a gratitude activity with family or friends. Ask everyone at the table to share one thing they’re grateful for this year. It’s a meaningful way to connect and celebrate the blessings in your lives.
Quote of the Week: “Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity... it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie | ![]() |
For administrators and referral sources: Fostering a culture of gratitude within your organization can enhance teamwork and morale. Encourage your staff to reflect on what they’re thankful for and recognize the contributions of their colleagues during the holiday season.
